Bette T. Crowder

Born and raised in Virginia Bette has been in love with the South all her life!  She has enjoyed careers with the U.S. Government, banking, and residential real estate.  With marriage, children and grandchildren, she was not able to pursue her passion for painting until recent years.

After living in Northern Virginia, the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Sarasota and Tampa, Florida, she and her husband, Bob, found serenity in the western North Carolina mountains - dividing their time between Tampa, Cashiers and traveling.

During the past fifteen years, Bette was able to expand her talent in watercolor by studying with contemporary artists Avaro Castagnet, Charles Reid, Eric Weingardt, Vladislav Yeliseyev, Keiko Tanabe, and Janet and Steve Rogers.  She is a signature member of the Florida Suncoast Watercolor Society and a member of the Florida Watercolor Society, Art Center Sarasota, and Tampa Regional Artists.

Bette enjoys painting rural landscapes as well as those scenes from her travelsi n the United States and Europe.
